In October, Dominions 3: The Awakening was released by Shrapnel Games.
The title was developed by Illwinter Game Design. This turn-based, fantasy strategy game offers multi-player support, over the Internet, for up to 21 players. Gameplay is emphasized over graphics, and the title has won high acclaim from several reviews. Shrapnel support released patch 3.04, on the seventh of this month.

- Three different eras: Early Magical Era, Middle Era, and Late Era. The Early Magical Era boasts many new nations, the Middle Era features most of the nations from Dominions 2, and the Late Era features an emphasis on more conventional warfare and less magic.
